Avistamiento de un gorrión
En el paisaje bañado por el resplandor del atardecer de Dhauladhar
un gorrión ha venido a posarse en el cable negro frente a mí.
Este no es el primer gorrión que veo en este pueblo de montaña.
Pero, al haber desaparecido del cielo urbano
cada vez que veo un gorrión
siento como si fuera el último gorrión sobreviviente del mundo.
No es que sea el único al que le preocupa la desaparición de los gorriones.
Yo también estoy entre aquellas personas que sólo pueden pensar en cosas que desaparecen
hasta el límite de la nostalgia
Sé que este gorrión no ha venido a sentarse aquí para mí
pero qué trágico es
que avistar un gorrión haya empezado a sentirse como…
un raro evento astronómico.
En Benarés
En Benarés,
la tarde se queda durante horas,
con una mano reteniendo la noche,
y la otra llenando el cielo de colores.
El Ganges es la paleta,
en la cual, cada vez que sumerge su pincel,
miles de ondas de colores
surgen de su pecho,
y encuentran su camino hacia la salvación.
Tu presencia siempre permanece a mi alrededor,
Tu presencia
respirando en intervalos largos e inciertos.
Con cada respiración,
mi casa se hincha y se encoge.
Miro a mi alrededor, curioso.
El vacío de estas tres habitaciones
se ha convertido en los pulmones
de tu presencia persistente.
